Five Star Quarter Horses

Welcome to Five Star Quarter Horses , home of Jody Fairfax and his progeny.  We are the only facility raising and breeding exclusively the Jody Fairfax lineage.  Our ranch is the final resting place for Jody Fairfax - the greatest horse to ever live- he was the 1982  NCHA Reserve World Champion stallion and the first horse in the cutting world to win $65,000 in a year -  and most of the time on 3 legs.  Mr. Pat Patterson, the man who owned, trained and showed Jody Fairfax said "Jody was the best horse that ever lived".  "He was the three legged horse that made the best of the four legged ones look ordinary more that once."  NCHA Chatter - October 1992.  To learn more about the life of Jody Fairfax please visit our page depicting his hard luck life.

Many of our horses have up to 50% Jody Fairfax. 37.5% Goodbye Sam and 50% Lucky Bottom Ann.  We will be standing 2 stallions with Jody Fairfax as the backbone of the program.
