He was an AQHA Open Champion, AQHA Open Supreme Champion, 9th in AQHA high point cutting, AQHA Superior in Halter and Cutting and NCHA LTE of $4682.
Goodbye Sam is the only
horse in history to run AAA and have an AQHA Superior in cutting. As a
sire Goodbye Sam sent 13 colts to the NCHA futurity and 12 made the finals or
semi-final, including Jody Fairfax and his full brother Sam Super Sam both
champion stallions in 1974 and 1975.
